FIH announces partnership with

The agreement covers the upcoming FIH Hockey Women's World Cup as well as the FIH Hockey Pro League seasons.

The International Hockey Federation (FIH) has announced a new agreement with a Dutch betting company, Following this new three-year deal, becomes the first-ever betting partner in the history of the sport.

The agreement stretches until June 2025, and it covers the upcoming FIH Hockey Women’s World Cup as well as the FIH Hockey Pro League seasons in the Netherlands.

The accord also ensures that will be present for the first time at the FIH Hockey Pro League matches in Nijmegen (Netherlands) at the end of May.

Sportradar, the FIH’s official betting and gaming data rights partner, helped facilitate the collaboration.

FIH CEO, Thierry Weil, said, “We’ve been looking at engaging with the betting industry for some time now, but it was essential for us to do so in a completely trustful environment. Thanks to our collaboration with Sportradar, we’ve found in the ideal partner to open the doors of the betting market to hockey. This first-of-a-kind move for us will hopefully generate further similar opportunities in this area in the future.”

The sports technology firm asserted that it was very pleasant to support the FIH’s move into the betting space and to incorporate hockey into a new group of sports fans.
