As the competition is the largest in the world, it is destined to have a massive list of sponsors.

The FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 has already begun, and the entire football fraternity has been glued to its television sets.

The opening match between Qatar and Ecuador, as well as the opening ceremony of the truly iconic contest, the first to be held in the Middle East, drew 60,000 people to Doha’s Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor.

The first match provided a lot of excitement and now looks promising for the next 28 days.

As the competition is the largest in the world, it is destined to have a massive list of sponsors. FIFA has confirmed sponsorship deals with a number of brands which has already ensured the competition’s commercial success. Let’s take a look at the tournament’s elite sponsorship list:

FIFA Partners:

In this category, FIFA has inked a partnership with the German sportswear giant, Adidas. In this deal, Adidas has been named the official match ball supplier of FIFA World Cups. The company also provides outfits for all FIFA officials, referees, player escorts, ball crew, and volunteers for all FIFA-affiliated events.

The organisers also included automotive manufacturers, Kia and Hyundai.

FIFA also signed a collaboration with the Doha-headquartered flag carrier airline, Qatar Airways, in this category.

Along with the aforementioned brands, FIFA also roped in Coca-Cola, Wanda Group, QatarEnergyVisa, Xero, Algorand and Calm in this bundle of partnerships.

FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Sponsors:

For the tournament in Qatar, FIFA announced a partnership with the Bangalore-headquartered Indian edtech firm, BYJU’s, as the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Sponsor.

The global football governing body also joined forces with many more brands like Budweiser, Crypto.com, Hisense, McDonald’s, China Mengniu Dairy Company, VIVO, Roblox and Hublot.

Regional Supporters:

In this category, FIFA has labelled The Look Company and Frito-Lay as regional supporters of the quadrennial competition.

Recently, the organisers also included Yadea, a market leading brand in the electric two-wheeler industry, as the official regional supporter in Asia-Pacific.
