The international football governing body, FIFA has issued an Invitation to Tender (ITT) for the sale of FIFA World Cup 2026 media rights in Austria and Switzerland.

As the 2022 edition of the contest drew record-breaking crowds, the upcoming tournament is sure to attempt even greater financial success.

The United States, Canada, and Mexico will host the FIFA World Cup 2026, ensuring that fans enjoy a mix of historic sites and a multitude of activities to commemorate the worldwide game of football.

Austria qualified for the event during UEFA EURO 2021 and will attempt to reach the final for the first time since 1998. Switzerland, on the contrary, has regularly participated in recent FIFA World Cups.

The tender procedure will award a few Austrian and Swiss media organisations the rights to broadcast the FIFA World Cup in their respective nations. Applications will be accepted until May 16, 2023, with all proceeds from concluded contracts going towards supporting and improving the worldwide FIFA infrastructure.
