In a move set to transform how fans experience the FIFA Club World Cup 2025, the global sports marketing leader, IMG has joined forces with DAZN, the world’s premier sports entertainment platform.
This landmark partnership sees IMG spearhead the UK and global English-language programming for the highly anticipated tournament, making all 63 matches accessible to a worldwide audience, completely free on DAZN.
The expanded FIFA Club World Cup 2025, kicking off today in the United States, marks a new era for international club football. Thirty-two elite teams from across the globe will battle for the coveted title, and as the official global broadcaster, DAZN is committed to making this event the most accessible in history – a vision significantly amplified by its collaboration with IMG.
Under this strategic alliance, IMG will establish DAZN’s global English production hub at its cutting-edge virtual studio and facilities at Stockley Park in the UK. This central nerve centre will be responsible for delivering over 1,000 hours of dynamic programming and content to football enthusiasts worldwide.
Speaking on the occasion, Pete Oliver, CEO of Growth Markets at DAZN, said “The fan is at the centre of everything DAZN does and with a tournament as global as the FIFA Club World Cup, and with our ambition to make it the largest, most accessible competition ever, we wanted to collaborate with partners who matched our values and ambitions. Working with IMG to produce our UK and ROW feed at a facility as cutting-edge as Stockley Park, will allow us to deliver the best product to fans around the world.”
James Clement, SVP, Tech and Operations, Studios, IMG, added “The FIFA Club World Cup 2025 is the biggest stage in international club football this summer and we’re excited to help DAZN bring the tournament to fans’ screens all over the world. Our state-of-the-art facilities and technical expertise allow DAZN and its international broadcast partners to seamlessly deliver quality programming and elevate the viewer experience as their favourite teams battle it out for the title.”
IMG’s comprehensive role extends beyond live match production. Its state-of-the-art virtual studio will host live pre-and post-game shows, offering in-depth analysis and expert commentary. A dedicated daily post-game show, “The Press,” will provide a comprehensive recap of key moments, social media reactions, and expert insights.
Furthermore, IMG will manage DAZN’s central editing and graphics processes, ensuring seamless delivery of interviews, press conferences, feature stories, and highlight packages to DAZN’s core markets, publishing partners, sublicensees, and participating football clubs globally.
Broadening its reach even further, IMG has also secured a sublicensing deal with DAZN to broadcast live coverage of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 on its Sport 24 channels. This has ensured that football fans travelling on airlines and cruise ships globally will not miss a single moment of the action, guaranteeing unprecedented access to the tournament.
This collaboration between IMG and DAZN is poised to set a new benchmark for global football broadcasting, promising unparalleled access and immersive coverage for fans across the globe.
