Federal Bank Kochi Marathon net sponsorship deal with Tiger Balm

As part of the deal, Tiger Balm has become Federal Bank Kochi Marathon's official pain relief partner.

The Federal Bank Kochi Marathon (FBKM) has inked a sponsorship agreement with Tiger Balm, an analgesic heat rub manufactured and distributed by Singaporean company Haw Par Healthcare.

As part of the deal, the brand has become the event’s official pain relief partner. Tiger Balm is a well-known brand that has been around for more than a century and is often associated with comfort, care, and healing.

Tiger Balm, the go-to topical pain reliever for sportsmen, has sponsored a number of triathlons, marathons, and other sporting events, such as the Singapore and Paris marathons.

Puneet Motiani, Designated Partner of Gardenia Cosmotrade LLP, commented, “In this collaboration, Tiger Balm will play a crucial role as the Pain Relief Partner, offering support to participants during the run. We will establish touchpoints along the course to address any pain experienced by runners. Additionally, post the race, a dedicated Pain Relief Zone will be set up staffed by professional sports therapists to alleviate discomfort and provide essential care.”

Keeth Chua, General Manager of Haw Par Healthcare, said, “We are excited to be the official Pain Relief Partner for the Federal Bank Kochi Marathon. At Tiger Balm, our philosophy revolves around creating products that effectively address discomfort. We are committed to allowing runners to concentrate on their performance while entrusting the pain management aspect to us, both during and after the run.”

Vipin Nambiar, Project Head of FBKM, commented, “It’s a fantastic opportunity to associate with Tiger Balm, a globally renowned brand, to support runners at a critical juncture. We extend a warm welcome to them in the marathon community and anticipate a longstanding partnership.”

Apart from providing on-course assistance, Tiger Balm will be present at the expo to communicate with runners, respond to their inquiries, and help them get ready for a pain-free race.

FBKM’24, which is set to commence on February 11, 2024, will have five categories: Marathon, Half Marathon, 10-kilometer Run, 3-kilometer Green Run, and #TheSpecialRun. The latter, which was added this year, caters to people with physical limitations and those who require particular care. The FBKM will take place on a World Athletics-approved marathon route, and the race will be organised by the Athletics Federation of India.
