FC Bayern Munich, Telekom sign partnership renewal till 2027

The two parties involved have been partners for 20 years.

The Bundesliga unit, FC Bayern Munich have announced the extension of their association with their long-time collaborator, Deutsche Telekom until 2027.

The two parties involved have been partners for 20 years. Telekom has been the front-of-shirt sponsor and featured on the advertising boards of the club’s home stadium. With this development, the fans of FC Bayern will continue to receive unique services and offers.

As the partnership prolongs, Telekom will continue to have the privilege of accessing the club’s content, which the company uses to provide to its customers through FC Bayern.tv.

Adequate support of the brand and product communication along with the thriving execution of sales-supporting measures are the major objectives of this association.

In this collaboration, the two entities have been involved in several initiatives, which include intriguing fan campaigns and a multimedia experience, ‘StadiumVision’. ‘FC Bayern.tv live’, which was launched by the club in 2017, became the first 24-hour television channel committed to a German football team.

Oliver Kahn, FC Bayern CEO, said, “We’re very happy that Deutsche Telekom has been at FC Bayern’s side for 20 years. Telekom stands for innovation in a multimedia world, for creativity, for being forward-thinking. Together we have already experienced a unique success story. Our aim is to continue to set standards in sport and beyond – and we have succeeded once again with this contract extension.”

Andreas Jung, FC Bayern board member responsible for marketing, said, “FC Bayern has always relied on partnerships that represent reliability and continuity. Our cooperation with Deutsche Telekom is a perfect example of this. We’re glad that we’ll continue to have this partner at our side, which gives us important certainty in our planning. Moreover, as we have done for the last 20 years, we’ll continue to develop new and exciting ways of delighting our fans together.”

Speaking on the association, Michael Hagspihl, Senior Vice President Global Strategic Projects and Marketing Partnerships at Deutsche Telekom, said, “FC Bayern Munich and Deutsche Telekom have written an amazing success story in the last 20 years. We’re very proud of these joint successes and the many milestones. Thanks to the enormous media presence, innovative energy and the effects of that, our partnership is worth many times over what we put into it together.”

FC Bayern recently signed new deals with Konami, Adobe and SAP. The club also recently launched its offices in Bangkok, the third country outside Germany.

On the field, the Bundesliga club will be next seen in action on Sunday, August 21 against Vfl Bochum.
