FC Bayern Munich and Tiger Balm form regional partnership in Southeast Asia and China

The collaboration, covering Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Hong Kong, and Mainland China, unites Bayern and Tiger Balm with a shared commitment to excellence.

The Bundesliga giants, FC Bayern Munich and the pain relief leader, Tiger Balm, have forged a regional partnership in Southeast Asia and China.

The four-year collaboration, covering Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Hong Kong, and Mainland China, unites two iconic brands with a shared commitment to excellence.

Michael Diederich, Executive Vice Chairman of FC Bayern, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “We are delighted to announce our new partnership with Tiger Balm – a collaboration between two successful brands steeped in tradition and characterised by a long history of success. This partnership will give our club an even greater presence in the region.”

Mr. Wee Ee Lim, CEO of Haw Par Healthcare, added, “This partnership not only aligns two trusted and reliable brands but also brings a new level of excitement and engagement to our fans across Southeast Asia and China. Tiger Balm and FC Bayern share a heritage of excellence and trust among their fans. We are thrilled to embark on this journey together and look forward to a successful collaboration.”

The partnership is more than just a simple endorsement deal. It represents a strategic alliance that leverages the strengths of both companies. FC Bayern bring their global fan base and sporting prowess, while Tiger Balm offers a trusted product with a strong regional presence. This combination is expected to create a powerful synergy that will benefit both brands.

Tiger Balm is a renowned analgesic ointment known for its effective relief of muscle aches, pains, headaches, and congestion. Produced by the Singaporean company, Haw Par Healthcare, Tiger Balm comes in red and white varieties, each with its unique blend of herbal ingredients. The red version is typically used for muscle pain and inflammation, while the white is often preferred for headaches and congestion.

Bayern Munich’s 2023-24 season was a stark departure from their recent dominance. The Bavarian giants, accustomed to lifting the Bundesliga trophy year after year, faced a humbling campaign. A shock early exit from the DFB-Pokal and a surprising third-place finish in the league marked a significant downturn for the club. The club has signed Vincent Kompany as the new manager and has strengthened the squad with the signing of Michael Olise and João Palhinha.
