The LALIGA giants, FC Barcelona and the South Korean motor oil brand, ZIC, under the SK Enmove umbrella, have announced a three-year extension of their partnership.
The renewed agreement has solidified the collaboration between the two brands until June 2027.
As part of this expanded partnership, ZIC will maintain its position as FC Barcelona’s official partner in several Asia Pacific territories. However, the focus is not solely on the region. Both companies have expressed their ambition to enter new markets, including Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and the vast Chinese market.
The partnership has proven mutually beneficial. SK Enmove has effectively leveraged FC Barcelona’s global reach and prestige to boost ZIC’s brand visibility, while the Catalan club has secured a reliable partner committed to supporting its initiatives.
Commenting on the occasion, Juli Guiu, Vice-President of the FC Barcelona Marketing Area, said, “We sincerely appreciate the faith that SK Enmove has put in our brand to make itself known and expand its market in the Asia-Pacific region, a territory where FC Barcelona knows how to connect with mass audiences and where it is increasingly reaffirming its leadership as one of the most admired and loved European clubs.”
Sangmin Lee, Head of the Green Growth Division of SK Enmove, added, “We are honoured to renew our partnership agreement with FC Barcelona. This partnership has been instrumental in elevating SK Enmove’s presence and prestige in our target market. We are confident that this renewed collaboration will lead to even greater success for both FC Barcelona and SK Enmove. Together, we look forward to achieving new heights and stronger leadership in our respective fields.”
The collaboration will continue to focus on developing FC Barcelona-branded products and creating engaging digital content to connect with fans worldwide.
SK Enmove, a global leader in the lubricant industry, has built a strong reputation for its flagship brand, ZIC. Known for its high-quality synthetic engine oils, ZIC has become synonymous with engine protection and fuel efficiency.
This partnership is the latest in a series of commercial deals for FC Barcelona. The club has recently renewed agreements with sponsors such as Iluminación Disano, 1XBET, CUPRA and EBC Financial Group. Additionally, their stadium, Spotify Camp Nou has partnered with fever, Figueras Seating, Fortinet, TK Elevator, EHEIM Möbel, and Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE).
FC Barcelona finished second in the 2023-24 Primera División and will kick off their 2024-25 campaign against Valencia CF on August 18. With the addition of Dani Olmo from RB Leipzig to their squad, the Catalan giants aim to challenge for the title this season.
