FC Barcelona announce NEVG as official telecoms operator

In this pact, NEVG will team up with Orange to kick off Barca Mobile.

The Spanish giants, FC Barcelona have signed the dotted lines with the master systems integrator New Era Visionary Group (NEVG).

As per the pact, the club has appointed NEVG its official telecoms operator to launch its own telecommunications service. In addition, NEVG will team up with Orange, a prominent name in the telecommunications industry, to kick off Barca Mobile. The arrangement will function between January 1, 2025, to the 2029/30 edition of LALIGA.

The Blaugrana’s new initiative will provide telecom services, including “mobile plans, data services, fiber optics, among others,” along with discounts to club members.

In this agreement, apart from Barca Mobile, NEVG will also install Orange 5G connective infrastructure at the new Camp Nou Stadium to provide high internet access to the fans. The presence of high-speed connectivity across the venue will help employees, suppliers, concourse sales points and media personnel. The partnership also includes Barcelona retaining ownership and solo management of the stadium’s 5G infrastructure.

Speaking on the deal, Barcelona Vice President of Marketing Juli Guiu stated, “Having the best connectivity in the stadium is essential to providing a unique match day experience for all our fans and visitors.

“At the same time, the launch of ‘Barça Mobile Services’ with NEVG and in collaboration with Orange will be a major step forward, offering all users a mobile service with a wide range of possibilities and many advantages for FC Barcelona members.”

NEVG Chief Executive Ruslan Birladeanu added, “Our vision is to make ‘Barça Mobile’ a global brand that goes beyond just serving fans—uniting people worldwide and expanding Barça’s global fanbase. This partnership marks a pivotal moment in reshaping mobile connectivity in sports and entertainment, bringing FC Barcelona closer to its global community.”

On the field, the former Spanish champions, under Hansi Flick, have been consistent in the current season with 11 victories and a couple of defeats. The club will play Celta Vigo tonight in an away fixture.
