FanDuel acquires rights to ONE Championship in US

FanDuel will be broadcasting ONE Championship's promotion events on its new television station and OTT platform.

FanDuel, the US-gaming entity, has struck a deal with the Singapore-based combat sports promotion, ONE Championship.

In this development, FanDuel will be broadcasting ONE Championship’s promotion events on its new television station and OTT platform.

This agreement is FanDuel’s first rights acquisition in MMA, which will see ONE Championship’s weekly Asia primetime events air on both FanDuel TV and FanDuel+ from January 20.

FanDuel TV was launched in September earlier this year and also provided a live broadcast of the Joshua Pacio vs Jarred Brooks fight on December 3.

Through FanDuel TV and FanDuel+ platforms, FanDuel is providing more than 3000 hours of live sports coverage. FanDuel’s portfolio also consists of Australia’s National Basketball League (NBL) and premium basketball tournaments in France, China and Germany.

Mike Raffensperger, Chief Commercial Officer of FanDuel, said, “We’re eager to continue expanding the variety of content we’re offering at FanDuel TV to introduce our audience to emerging sports.

“We’ve long respected the content the ONE Championship team is producing and are looking forward to bringing their action to our audience through FanDuel TV and FanDuel+.”

Chatri Sityodtong, Chairman and Chief Executive of ONE Championship, said, “We are thrilled to join the FanDuel TV lineup and give our passionate US audience yet another way to engage with ONE Championship.

“Having a quality partner in FanDuel will help raise the profile of our company in the region and provide their viewers with action-packed martial arts events like they have never seen before.”
