The 2025 CAFA Nations Cup, an international football competition organised by the Central Asian Football Association, is set to be aired on FanCode, India’s leading digital sports platform.
Scheduled from August 29 to September 8, 2025, the tournament will be co-hosted by Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, featuring eight teams vying for the title.
India will participate as a guest nation, replacing Malaysia, which withdrew owing to schedule and player availability issues. India is in Group B alongside hosts Tajikistan, regional powerhouse Iran, and Afghanistan, making for a challenging group stage lineup.
For India, the CAFA Nations Cup is more than just a regional event; it’s a strategic forerunner to the AFC Asian Cup 2027 qualifications, which begin in October. With only one point from their first cycles, the Blue Tigers are under pressure to gain momentum and improve their form.
According to recent analysis, the appointment of Khalid Jamil, India’s first coach in over a decade, was a watershed moment. His first duty with the national team begins here, making this tournament very important.
FanCode Co-founder, Yannick Colaco, said, “FanCode’s had the privilege of showcasing some iconic Indian football moments recently, and as the national team embarks on a new era under coach Khalid Jamil, we’re excited to bring the action LIVE to fans across the country. Our mission continues to be the platform of choice for every sports fan in the country.”
FanCode’s exclusive streaming rights to the CAFA Nations Cup 2025 is more than simply a win for sports fans; it’s a strategic business move that matches with the company’s mission of becoming India’s leading platform for non-mainstream sports content. While JioHotstar and SonyLIV dominate Indian Premier League (IPL), Asian Cricket Council (ACC) and International Cricket Council (ICC) events, FanCode has built out a niche by obtaining underrepresented competitions that continue to attract engaged, devoted football audiences.
FanCode hosts almost 20 million football fans and streams the LALIGA, Carabao Cup, Asian Football Confederation (AFC) events, A-League, and J-League.
Other prominent events on the platform include Formula 1, MotoGP, UIM E1 World Championship, The Masters, World Championship of Legends 2025, Pro Panja League 2025 and more.
