The Pro Kabaddi League‘s (PKL) ninth season is all set to begin on October 7, 2022. The first leg of the contest will take place in Bengaluru, with the second leg moving to Pune and the last leg will be conducted in Hyderabad. Last season, the Covid-19 pandemic compelled the planners to organize the event behind closed doors at a single location.
This season, nevertheless, will be special because it will welcome kabaddi fans back into the stadium. The Pro Kabaddi League is India’s only tournament that has seen an increase in broadcasting viewing figures in each of its last four seasons.
As shown in a BARC India study, it is the most successful non-cricket property in India, with an audience numbers share of 61%, accompanied by the Indian Super League (ISL) at 16%.
Defending champions Dabang Delhi will commence the edition against season 2 winners U Mumba. The second game of the first day will be a southern derby between Bengaluru Bulls and Telugu Titans, followed by a match between Jaipur Pink Panthers and UP Yoddha.
