As the IPL season 18 concludes, fans need not be concerned about a lack of action as the highly anticipated T20 Mumbai League 2025, Mumbai’s premier domestic cricket tournament, begins today, June 4, and will run until June 12, at two of the city’s most renowned grounds, Wankhede Stadium and DY Patil Stadium.
The league is back after a six-year sabbatical, eager to restore its position as one of India’s premier local franchise-based T20 championships. This year’s edition promises exciting action, with prominent players like India’s T20I skipper Suryakumar Yadav, Shreyas Iyer, Ajinkya Rahane, Shivam Dube, and Prithvi Shaw. Adding to the excitement, young local stars like Musheer Khan and Angkrish Raghuvanshi will be in the limelight, giving the competition a new edge.
The eight-team competition includes 23 high-octane matches, with teams representing various parts of Mumbai: North Mumbai Panthers (Horizon Sports India Pvt. Ltd.), ARCS Andheri (Arcs Sports & Entertainment Pvt. Ltd.), Triumph Knights Mumbai North East (Transcon Triumph Knights Pvt. Ltd.), Bandra Blasters (Pk Sports Ventures Pvt. Ltd.), Eagle Thane Strikers (Eagle Infra India Ltd.), Aakash Tigers Mumbai Western Suburbs (World Star Premier League LLP), SoBo Mumbai Falcons (Roadway Solutions India Infra Ltd.), Mumbai South Central Maratha Royals (Royal Edge Sports & Entertainment).
Each day of the league stage will include four matches, spread across both locations. Matches will be played at Wankhede Stadium at 2:30 PM and 7:30 PM, and at DY Patil Stadium at 10:30 AM and 5:30 PM, respectively. The semi-finals (June 10) and the Final (June 12) will take place at Wankhede Stadium.
