The much-awaited Season 11 of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) is set to begin tonight, promising to deliver an exhilarating display of skill, strategy, and fierce competition. With a brand-new format and some of the biggest names in kabaddi, the season is primed to captivate fans across the country.

This year’s tournament introduces a three-city format, with matches scheduled in Hyderabad, Noida, and Pune. The opening leg will commence in Hyderabad on October 18 and run until November 9, followed by the second leg in Noida on November 10. The final leg of the league stage will take place in Pune from December 3 to December 24. The dates and venue for the playoffs will be announced later.

Each matchday during the league stage will feature double-headers, with the first game beginning at 8:00 PM IST and the second at 9:00 PM IST. Over the course of nearly three months, fans will be treated to 137 matches, including the playoffs, showcasing the best kabaddi talent in the world.

All 12 teams enter the competition with high hopes, having strengthened their squads through a mix of key retentions and strategic signings at the Season 11 Player Auction, held in mid-August. The auction saw some major player transfers, with top athletes like Sachin Tanwar, Mohammadreza Shadloui Chiyaneh, and Sunil Kumar joining new teams, sparking anticipation among fans eager to see these stars in action with their new sides.

Defending champions Puneri Paltan have retained their core squad as they aim for back-to-back titles. However, they will face tough competition from formidable teams like Bengaluru Bulls, Dabang Delhi KC, and Gujarat Giants, all of whom are determined to challenge for the coveted trophy.

This season also promises to be a showcase for rising stars. A host of young, up-and-coming players are poised to make their mark, with their performances likely to influence the outcome of the competition. The blend of experienced veterans and promising newcomers ensures that fans will witness a dynamic and unpredictable season.

The excitement kicks off on opening day with three former champion teams in action. The revamped Telugu Titans will go head-to-head with the high-octane Bengaluru Bulls in the first match, while U Mumba’s defensive strength will be put to the test against the explosive raiders of Dabang Delhi KC in the final game of the night.
