Everton Women sign Shirt deals with Megafon

Everton Women has signed a multiyear deal with Megafon. The mobile phone operator was announced as a new shirt and sleeve sponsors of Everton’s women team.

Megafon has been working with Everton since 2019. The latest deal will make them the principal of the club’s women’s team.

Digital and telecommunications company MegaFon is currently on the sleeve of Everton Women’s shirts as well as men’s first-team training kits. As a consequence of the new deal, MegaFon will be seen as the main sponsor on the kits of the women’s team.

Megafon Group will now place Yota on the sleeve of the women’s team. Yota is part of the Megafon group. Before Megafon, Sports Pesa was the main sponsor of the women’s team at Everton.

The Merseyside club has heavily invested in the women’s team. The club is planning to build a new stadium at Walton Hall Park. They have also developed a new strategy focused on building the commercial portfolio by seeking exclusive partnership opportunities for the women’s team.

Sarvar Ismailov, Everton Women’s sporting and commercial director, said, “This partnership reflects the increasing prominence of the women’s game and the exciting future for our women’s team.”

Ismailov also admitted that securing the deal with Megafon was a key part of the club’s vision and strategy to develop the team that challenges for major honours.

Chief executive officer for MegaFon, Gevork Vermishyan said, “This partnership allows us to support the women’s game in England and be part of a club with huge ambition and an international reach playing in the now globally recognized WSL.”
