Everton have strengthened their long-standing commercial relationship with Stake after announcing a new multi-year agreement that will see the betting and entertainment platform become the club’s sleeve partner from the 2026-27 season.
The renewed partnership marks the next phase of a collaboration that began in 2022, with Stake transitioning from Everton’s principal front-of-shirt sponsor to sleeve sponsor as Premier League clubs prepare for the voluntary withdrawal of gambling brands from the front of match shirts. While financial terms of the agreement have not been disclosed, the extension enables both parties to maintain one of Everton’s most prominent commercial partnerships under the league’s evolving sponsorship regulations.
The agreement preserves Stake’s visibility across Everton’s men’s first-team kit while reinforcing the club’s ability to retain established commercial relationships during a period of significant regulatory change. Sleeve sponsorship remains one of football’s most valuable branding assets, offering consistent global exposure through broadcast coverage, digital content and international marketing initiatives.
Andrew Middleton, Everton’s President of Business Operations, said, “Stake has been a major supporter of Everton over the past four seasons, and this agreement reflects both the strength of our relationship and the continued growth of Everton’s commercial partnership portfolio. It also provides continuity with a partner that understands the Club, our supporters and the global reach of Everton Football Club.
“As we continue to build commercial momentum, this agreement demonstrates the value partners see in Everton, our new stadium and the direction of the Club. We are pleased to see our relationship with Stake evolve and look forward to continuing to work together across the coming seasons.”
Stake’s Chief Marketing Officer, Akhil Sarin, added, “Our partnership with Everton has been an important and successful one, and we are proud to continue our relationship with one of English football’s most historic and globally recognised clubs. Stake is built around sport, entertainment and culture. The partnerships we choose are deliberate, ambitious, built on innovation and a genuine connection to our global communities.
“Over the past four years, Everton has provided Stake with a powerful platform to connect with audiences around the world, and we have valued the opportunity to support the Club during a landmark period in its history. We look forward to building on the partnership as Official Sleeve Partner and to continuing to work with Everton to deliver engaging content, experiences and activations for fans.”
The announcement comes at a pivotal moment for Everton as the club prepares for its first full Premier League campaign at its new waterfront stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock. Retaining a long-term commercial partner provides valuable continuity as the club enters a new era both on and off the pitch.
For Stake, the extension further reinforces its aggressive investment in global sports sponsorship. Alongside Everton, the company has built a diverse international portfolio spanning football, UFC, X Games, Street League Skateboarding, esports and cricket, supported by ambassadors including Sergio Agüero, Eden Hazard, Patrice Evra, Alex Pereira, Max Holloway, Tracy Cortez, Chris Joslin and Nyjah Huston.
The agreement highlights a growing trend across European football, with betting operators restructuring existing sponsorships rather than exiting the sport altogether as advertising regulations tighten. By shifting from front-of-shirt branding to sleeve sponsorship, Everton and Stake have demonstrated how clubs and commercial partners can adapt to changing governance while preserving long-term strategic relationships.
