Manchester City Women’s Football Club have announced a significant global partnership with Evelyn Partners, a leading wealth management and professional services firm.
This collaboration has named Evelyn Partners as the club’s official wealth management partner, underscoring a shared commitment to empowering players and securing their long-term financial well-being and career development.
The partnership is set to introduce a range of tailored initiatives designed to support Manchester City Women players throughout their careers. Central to this groundbreaking collaboration are two key programs. One, “Rethink Rehabilitation,” will provide comprehensive, personalized resources for players facing injury setbacks. It aims to offer practical support and guidance during recovery, allowing players to focus on their rehabilitation while simultaneously exploring avenues for personal and professional growth. The second program, “Rethink Retirement,” recognizes the unique career trajectory of professional athletes. This initiative will equip players with essential tools and strategies for a successful transition out of football, focusing on long-term financial planning, career development, and personal growth, preparing them for life beyond the pitch.
Further solidifying this strategic alliance, Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw, Manchester City’s prolific and record-breaking striker, has been appointed as an official ambassador for Evelyn Partners. In her role, Shaw will champion the importance of financial education, holistic well-being, and future-focused thinking among her teammates and the wider football community.
Charlotte O’Neill, Managing Director at Manchester City Women, emphasized the club’s dedication to holistic player development and said, “At City, we believe in developing world-class athletes on the pitch — and strong, confident individuals beyond it. The partnership with Evelyn Partners represents a shared commitment to ensuring our players are set up for success both now and in the future. Through the Rethink programmes, this partnership will deliver meaningful and lasting support for players – allowing them to access new opportunities and build the foundations for a strong, successful future.”
Andrew Middleton, Chief Marketing and Commercial Officer of Evelyn Partners added, “Like Evelyn Partners, Manchester City is an organisation constantly asking: ‘What’s Next?’ The club has been consistently pioneering in the professionalisation of women’s football, leading the way across youth pathways, elite infrastructure and match day experience. Through the partnership we’re announcing today, we’re delighted to be helping Manchester City Women continue to lead the way, with our joint collaboration on two new player care programmes. These will help support the players as their careers and financial journeys develop. As part of the partnership, we couldn’t be more thrilled to have Bunny Shaw become an official ambassador for Evelyn Partners. Bunny brings passion and energy both on and off the pitch and she will be an inspirational role model for championing financial education and wellbeing, as together we seek to address the female wealth advice gap.”
This collaboration between Manchester City Women and Evelyn Partners signifies a proactive step towards ensuring the enduring success and well-being of female athletes, setting a new standard for player support in professional sports.
Looking back at the recently concluded 2024-25 season, Manchester City Women finished fourth in the Women’s Super League, reached the semi-finals of the FA Cup, and were runners-up in the League Cup. They also progressed to the quarter-finals of the UEFA Women’s Champions League, demonstrating their competitive spirit across all competitions. For the upcoming 2025-26 season, the club will be under new management, with Andrée Jeglertz announced as the new head coach. With a renewed focus and strategic player support partnerships like the one with Evelyn Partners, Manchester City Women will be aiming to build on their previous season’s performances and challenge for top honours in both domestic and European competitions.
