The arrangement between Eurovision Sport and FIBA also includes FIBA 3x3 World Cup, which will be held in Vienna, Austria.

The sports arm of the European Broadcasting Union, Eurovision Sport has signed a partnership with the international governing body of basketball, the International Basketball Federation (FIBA).

In this arrangement, Eurovision Sport has secured the rights to cover and broadcast FIBA’s 3×3 world and European events for two years, that is 2023 and 2024, which also includes the much-anticipated FIBA 3×3 World Cup, 2023, which will be held in Vienna, Austria from May 30 to June 4.

Through this agreement, the three Olympic qualification competitions, two Europe Cups (2023 and 2024), and the FIBA 3×3 professional circuit for men and women will all be covered by Eurovision Sport for free on television. The broadcasting portfolio also includes FIBA 3×3 Women’s Series Final in September and the 3×3 World Tour Final in December.

Another aspect of this pact is that the EBU will be granted exclusive live rights for its members in the nations of Belgium (RTBF and VRT), Greece (ERT), Hungary (MTVA), Lithuania (LRT), the Netherlands (NOS), Poland (TVP), Spain (RTVE), and Switzerland (SRG-SSR), with the option to have more members from additional nations if their national teams qualify for an event.

Through this partnership, we have the opportunity to bring the incredible stories of world-class 3×3 players and competitions to millions of households and elevate 3×3 basketball to new heights.”
