England Squash secures two-year clothing and shoe pact with adidas

In April, the adidas England squash uniform will be used for the first time at the Five Nations.

The English national governing body of the racket sports of squash, England Squash has developed a new two-year deal with the global sportswear giant, adidas.

With this deal, the brand has become the squash governing body’s official clothing and shoe partner. The sportswear giant will provide match and training apparel to England’s youth and senior national teams, in addition to high performance coaches working on the performance programme.

Furthermore, players in the England Squash talent pathway initiative will be able to purchase personalised training gear. Adidas will also provide team and referee attire for the Optasia Squash Super League.

The senior kit features a unique tribute to England’s World Team triumphs, with five stars on the men’s design and seven on the women’s, symbolising their respective championship wins.

England Squash has a long connection with adidas, dating back to the 1970s when the sportswear brand sponsored several prominent players, notably six-time world champion Jonah Barrington and the England team.

Joey Barrington, Membership and Commercial Manager at England Squash, said, “As a globally recognised leader in sportswear innovation, we’re thrilled to welcome adidas as our official clothing and shoe partner. Squash is a fast-paced, high-intensity game that demands the best in performance apparel, and adidas’s cutting-edge sportswear technology will help ensure our top players can perform at their peak while looking and feeling their best. This partnership will elevate the game to new heights and reflects our commitment to driving excellence in the sport and supporting our athletes to shine on the world stage.”

Richard Mantell, Director at Specialist Sports, said, “Specialist Sports is delighted to be supplying adidas teamwear and footwear for this exciting new partnership with England Squash. With innovative technologies designed to enhance performance, we look forward to supporting athletes both on and off the court.”

Just in February, the sporting giant also announced the return of the Indian cricket team star, Rishabh Pant, as the brand ambassador. Pant previously partnered with the Three Stripes from 2016 to 2019.
