Emma Raducanu signs a four-year deal with HSBC

Emma plans to leverage the four-year partnership to assist in the education of young adults fascinated by finance.

Emma Raducanu, a British tennis player, recently inked a four-year deal with HSBC, an international financial and banking solutions holding corporation based in the United Kingdom.

Raducanu, whose parents are both in the economic sector, said she planned to leverage the four-year partnership to assist in the education of young adults fascinated by finance.

HSBC is Wimbledon‘s exclusive banking sponsor, with operations focused on the tennis Grand Slam’s ticket reselling process.

Apart from HSBC, Raducanu has also signed agreements with the US fine jewellery label Tiffany‘s, freshwater label Evian, German auto-manufacturer Porsche, French fashion company Dior, UK wireless communications enterprise Vodafone, and the UK national airline British Airways, in addition to her pre-existing contract with the activewear company Nike. The Dior and Tiffany’s deals are reportedly valued at UK£2 million (US$2.41 million) each, while the Vodafone association is valued at UK£3 million (US$3.62 million) every year.

Raducanu, the 19-year-old tennis player, stated, “To partner with HSBC is so natural for me having grown up playing in the HSBC Road to Wimbledon and having been a customer for many years.

“If I wasn’t a tennis player, I would definitely want to work in finance so I’m excited to learn more about the industry in the years to come. We are working on some really cool ideas and I’m particularly looking forward to working on initiatives that help young people such as financial education.”

Noel Quinn, Global Chief Executive of HSBC, commented, “HSBC has had a longstanding relationship with Emma and her family for many years. We’re hugely proud of Emma and what she has already achieved in her professional career.

“We also believe there are some really great and innovative ways that we can work with her to inspire and educate young people, which is why we’re so pleased to have forged this new long-term partnership.”
