Real Madrid and Emirates have further strengthened one of the most enduring and valuable partnerships in global sport, announcing a long-term extension that will keep the Dubai-based airline as the club’s principal sponsor and official airline until 2031.
The renewal deepens a relationship that began in 2011 and has become synonymous with one of the most successful eras in Real Madrid’s history. Emirates has served as the club’s main shirt sponsor since 2013, with its iconic branding prominently displayed across the men’s first team kit during a period marked by domestic dominance and multiple UEFA Champions League triumphs.
Under the renewed agreement, Emirates will continue as the official main sponsor and official airline of both Real Madrid’s men’s and women’s football teams. The airline’s branding will remain visible on matchday kits, training apparel and coaching staff attire, while the partnership will also extend across the club’s youth development structure.
In a significant expansion of the relationship, Emirates has also secured naming rights as the official main sponsor of Real Madrid’s basketball division through a new multi-year agreement running until 2031. The move broadens the airline’s footprint across one of Europe’s most recognised multi-sport organisations.
The agreement provides Emirates with extensive brand exposure throughout the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, including prominent advertising assets, access to the club’s training facilities and the exclusive Emirates Lounge hospitality space. These rights further strengthen the airline’s ability to engage with supporters, corporate partners and international guests visiting one of football’s most iconic venues.
Boutros Boutros, Executive Vice President of Corporate Communications, Marketing, and Brand at Emirates Airline, said, “Emirates has a long history of supporting football, connecting with millions of people, and bringing communities together through our shared passion for the sport. What we’ve built alongside Real Madrid is a shining example of that commitment: placing fans at the heart of the game, giving them access to unforgettable moments, and inspiring the next generation of supporters and players.”
Florentino Pérez, President of Real Madrid, added, “This agreement is a partnership that reflects the very special relationship we have built over the years. We have been and continue to be together during one of the most successful periods in our history.”
The extension represents another major commercial success for Real Madrid as the club continues to leverage its global appeal, while reinforcing Emirates’ position among the most prominent sponsors in world sport. By the end of the new agreement, the partnership will have spanned two decades, establishing the longest-running shirt sponsorship in LALIGA history and setting a benchmark for long-term brand collaboration in professional football.
