English cricket venue Edgbaston Stadium and hospitality provider Levy UK + Ireland have announced a historic long-term extension of their partnership, reinforcing a collaboration that continues to play a major role in the commercial and infrastructural evolution of one of the United Kingdom’s premier sporting venues.
The renewed agreement marks the longest contract in the history of Levy UK + Ireland and arrives at a significant moment for Edgbaston as the stadium progresses through a major £42 million redevelopment ahead of the 2027 Men’s Ashes series.
The latest phase of the Edgbaston Masterplan includes the construction of a new stand, upgraded spectator concourses, expanded premium hospitality spaces, and a four-star Radisson RED hotel featuring pitch-facing rooms. The redevelopment is expected to elevate the fan and hospitality experience while strengthening Edgbaston’s position as a year-round destination for sport and entertainment.
Levy UK + Ireland will continue overseeing hospitality and food service operations across the venue, with both organisations placing increased emphasis on culinary innovation, sustainability, and community impact. The partnership recently introduced the UK’s first automated cup return system at the stadium as part of broader environmental initiatives.
Jon Davies, CEO of Levy, said, “We are delighted to extend our stay at Edgbaston through our established Joint Venture. This is a close and trusted working partnership built on a shared ambition to be the best in the business, and it is a proud moment for us to sign the longest contract in the history of Levy UK + Ireland.
“Moving forward, we are focused on working together to maximise community involvement and building on the incredible impact of Xcelerate with Edgbaston. Our teams are hungry for continued innovation, and we look forward to continuing to showcase high culinary standards, underpinned by our award-winning chef teams. As the Edgbaston Masterplan comes to life, we are committed to ensuring this venue remains at the heart of the community, driving employment and excellence for years to come.”
Craig Flindall, Strategy Director at Edgbaston, added, “We’re pleased to continue our partnership with Levy, as we strive to provide our guests with a first-class hospitality and matchday experience. Through signing the contract extension, we’re also continuing to facilitate the next generation of talent through the “Xcelerate with Edgbaston” training facility – maximising local community involvement and assisting with regional economic growth.
“With the next stage of our stadium Masterplan well underway, we’re excited to be able to deliver our new hotel, redeveloped stands, and enhanced spectator facilities in time for the Men’s Ashes in summer 2027.”
The announcement also comes during a major international events cycle for Edgbaston. The venue is set to host multiple fixtures during the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, including the tournament opener between England and Sri Lanka, as well as the highly anticipated India-Pakistan clash. Edgbaston will also host the first ODI of India’s men’s tour of England in July 2026, further underlining the stadium’s growing importance on the global cricket calendar.
