The collaboration is the latest in a growing list of affiliations for Chapel Down throughout the British sporting season.

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) have announced a new partnership with England’s leading wine producer, Chapel Down. With this partnership, Chapel Down has been labelled as the official sparkling wine of ECB.

Chapel Down’s sparkling wine will be provided to winning teams on the podium at all Men’s International, Women’s International, and Domestic Finals, which are watched by millions around the globe. The announcement was made on the eve of the first day of the LV=County Championship, which begins today i.e. April 7.

This is the very first time that the ECB has partnered with an English sparkling wine brand. Cricket is one of England’s most popular sports and is the pinnacle of the British sporting season.

Chapel Down CEO, Andrew Carter, said, “We are thrilled to be the Official Sparkling Wine to the England and Wales Cricket Board and delighted that future English cricket success will be celebrated with Chapel Down, English sparkling wine.”

ECB Sales & Marketing Director, Russell James, commented, “We are delighted to be bringing some sparkle to the cricket summer through this partnership with Chapel Down. It’s great to be teaming up with a quality home-grown brand across international, domestic and recreational cricket.”

The collaboration is the latest in a growing list of affiliations for Chapel Down throughout the British sporting season. The company is already promoted as the official sparkling wine of the Oxford & Cambridge Boat Race and over the year at Ascot Racecourse. Chapel Down expands its celebration of home-grown talent to include partnerships with The Donmar Warehouse Theatre, the Turner Contemporary gallery, and the Royal Opera House.
