The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) has announced a significant deal to secure comprehensive media rights for the FIFA World Cups 2026 and 2030.

This agreement will bring extensive coverage of both tournaments to millions of football fans in Bulgaria, Czechia, Croatia, Hungary, and Israel (for 2026 only).

The EBU’s Member organisations in these countries will broadcast the tournaments across various platforms, including TV, digital, and radio. The commitment to free-to-air broadcasting ensures that the world’s most popular sporting event remains accessible to the widest possible audience.

Glen Killane, Executive Director of EBU Sport, expressed enthusiasm about the deal, stating, “Building on our long-standing partnership with FIFA, this agreement will bring the excitement of the FIFA World Cup 2026™ and 2030™ to millions of football fans across Europe.
