Durham chose Secutix following the tender procedure owing to the company's rich cricketing history.

The county cricket club, Durham Cricket has inked a multi-year partnership with Secutix, the leading provider of advanced, digital solutions for the event industry.

As part of the deal, the brand has been named the team’s ticketing technology partner. Durham chose Secutix following the tender procedure owing to the company’s rich cricketing history and the technology it will provide the club with to oversee its ticketing operations.

According to the agreement, the first Durham Cricket app will be released later this season; however, the release date has not yet been disclosed.

Durham Cricket Marketing Director, David Jackson, said, “I’d had first-hand experience of the platform with The Hundred and was impressed. With their strong market share in cricket and knowledge of the sport, the Secutix team understands our commercial needs and those of our fans. This partnership gives us the flexibility to adapt the ticketing platform to our requirements. We can now quickly implement the changes we want to make to ticket prices and offers, and the improved interface for ticket buyers will give fans a better service.”

The club will get access to Secutix’s entire portfolio of solutions, which includes the S-360 SaaS platform, TIXNGO digital ticketing software, and S-PAY omnichannel payment tool.

The Hundred, the ICC Men’s T20 Cricket World Cup 2024, and the county teams Lancashire Cricket, Somerset, Surrey, Warwickshire, and Worcestershire are among Secutix’s current cricket partners.

Managing Director of Secutix Northern Europe, UK & Ireland David Hornby, said, “We’re excited to bring our leading technology to another great cricket club and give David and his team full control over their ticketing requirements. We understand cricket and are constantly evolving the platform with innovations and automation which we know will benefit the sport. This means Durham will always have the latest technologies at their disposal to create a first-class ticketing experience for their fans.”
