DP World ILT20 hits big with icons Harbhajan Singh & Shoaib Akhtar back as brand ambassadors

Harbhajan Singh and Shoaib Akhtar will return as ambassadors, bringing star power and credibility to the competition.

DP World International League T20 (ILT20), the T20 cricket tournament held in the UAE, has onboarded legendary cricketers Harbhajan Singh and Shoaib Akhtar as brand ambassadors for the tournament.

The cricket spectacular gets underway on January 11, 2025, with a magnificent opening ceremony at the Dubai International Stadium, signalling the start of a month-long cricket spectacle.

Harbhajan Singh, India’s great off-spinner with over 711 international wickets, and Shoaib Akhtar, Pakistan’s famed fast bowler with 444 international wickets, will return as ambassadors, bringing star power and credibility to the competition. Since the league’s start, the tandem has been a continuous presence, with both players having previously served on the commentary panel.

Season 3 of DP World ILT20 will begin with an intense encounter between reigning champions MI Emirates and Dubai Capitals. The tournament’s opening ceremony, presented by Bollywood producer and actor Jackky Bhagnani and Ridhima Pathak, will feature high-energy performances by Bollywood celebrities Shahid Kapoor, Pooja Hegde, and Sonam Bajwa.

Fans can watch the full tournament on ZEE’s 15 widely broadcast linear TV channels, which include &Pictures SD, Zee Cinema HD, Zee Action, Zee Telugu HD, Zee Tamil HD, Zee Kannada HD, and many more. The event will also be available for free on ZEE’s OTT platform, ZEE5, as well as its syndicate partners’ TV and digital networks throughout the world.

The month-long event will end with the finale on February 9, 2025. Fans attending the opening ceremony can further take advantage of a special deal, purchasing four tickets for only AED 40 in the general category.
