To further fuel the cricket fever, Doordarshan unveiled a special anthem titled “Jazba,” sung by the iconic Sukhwinder Singh. Adding another layer of excitement, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Secretary Sanjay Jaju launched a captivating promo narrated by the renowned storyteller Neelesh Misra.

Doordarshan’s decision to broadcast this marquee cricketing event is a boon for fans, especially in rural areas, who might not have access to paid subscriptions. This free-to-air telecast allows everyone to witness their favourite teams and players battle for the coveted T20 World Cup trophy.

The Men in Blue, under the leadership of Rohit Sharma, will begin their campaign against Ireland on June 5 in New York. This will be followed by the much-awaited clash against Pakistan on June 9.
