India’s foremost tennis tournament, Tennis Premier League (TPL) has developed a sponsorship deal with Dhoomimal Gallery, one of India’s oldest art galleries emerged from the very needs of the artists of Delhi.
With this deal, the brand has been named associate sponsor for the sixth edition of TPL. This collaboration is a significant move for Dhoomimal Gallery, as it demonstrates its steadfast dedication to developing tennis in India.
The partnership was announced on the official social media accounts of the TPL.
Shri Ram Babu Jain founded Dhoomimal Gallery (DMG) in 1936, which is India’s oldest modern art gallery. Dhoomimal, which recently celebrated almost 80 years of successfully promoting Indian modern art, has always been more of an institution than a business gallery. Shri Jain, an avid art enthusiast, was particularly interested in printing and publishing. Shri Jain’s long-standing interest for art led him into contact with some of the period’s finest painters. This led to the establishment of the Dhoomimal Gallery in Connaught Place.
The gallery began by showcasing the works of well-known painters from the past, such as the late Sailoz Mookherjea, Jamini Roy, F.N. Souza, M.F. Husain, and others, and quickly became a hub for modern art as well as a gathering place for the capital’s artists.
In addition to this, the TPL has also announced partnerships with The Bridge, SVAR Gems, Clearpani, and Yonex for the sixth season, which is set to be held at the Cricket Club of India, Mumbai, from December 3 to 8, 2024.
