A revitalized Deccan Gladiators is looking to take the final step to lift the trophy after coming agonizingly close last season in T10 League. They ended up runners-up after Maratha Arabians came on top in the final of the competition. After numerous changes at the helm, Deccan Gladiators is looking to taste success this season.
In terms of team composition, Gladiators will be led by Kieron Pollard after Shane Watson announced retirement from all forms of cricket at the end of 2020. Pollard has been a terrific performer in T-20 cricket across various leagues in the world. His power hitting will be a valuable asset for Gladiators in T-10 format. Moreover, Pollard has a lot of leadership qualities after being part of successful teams such as Mumbai Indians and Trinbago Knight Riders. He has also tasted success with West Indies.
Along with Pollard, there is a strong group of experienced players in the squad of Gladiators. Mohammad Shahzad and Bhanuka Rajapaksha will have a pivotal role at the top of the batting lineup, while Colin Ingram brings aggression with stability in the middle order.
Sunil Narine is the leader of the pack in the bowling department. Narine has been one of the most consistent white ball bowlers across various leagues. Imran Tahir will complement Narine, while the man of the tournament in the inaugural season of Lankan Premier League Wanindu Hasaranga will provide the x-factor in the team.

T-10 League has gained popularity due to the presence of international stars since the inception of the league in 2017, so it is not surprising to see teams signing lucrative sponsorship deals. Gladiators will be looking to go all the way after doing some good business on and off the pitch.
