Major League Soccer team DC United has announced a multiyear partnership with leading gaming company FanDuel to bring a sportsbook to the club’s home stadium Audi Field next year.
The FanDuel Sportsbook is scheduled to open at Audi Field next year, depending on licensing and regulatory approvals from the DC Lottery. It will feature various betting windows and self-service betting terminals available to sports throughout the year.
As part of this deal, FanDuel has been designated the exclusive sports betting sponsor of DC United. The deal marks the company’s first sports betting partnership with an MLS team.
D.C. United Chief Strategy Officer Sam Porter said, “D.C. United is looking forward to the opportunity of working with a first-rate operator in this new and exciting space. The FanDuel Sportsbook is best-in-class, and we believe their expertise, technology, and product will provide our fans, guests at Audi Field, and the Buzzard Point neighborhood a full-slate of entertainment options.”
DC United had previously planned to open a sportsbook at the soccer stadium in partnership with Caesars Entertainment.
