DAZN, Golden Boy extend their partnership

This partnership builds on a five-year deal struck in 2018.

DAZN, a sports streaming firm whose value is up to £3 billion, announced a multi-fight partnership with the Los Angeles-based boxing and combat sports promotion house, Golden Boy.

This partnership builds on a five-year deal struck in 2018, creating DAZN as well as Golden Boy as the industry giants in sporting events entertainment in the United States.

Golden Boy Fight Night on DAZN, a new monthly boxing series which is currently under development will be hosted by boxing announcer Beto Duran and boxing Hall of Famer Bernard Hopkins, alongside the championship fight nights. In 2022, unbeaten champions, Jaime Munguia, Ryan Garcia, and Vergil Ortiz will return in June, July and August respectively.

Ed Breeze, EVP Rights, DAZN, said, “We are delighted to extend our partnership with Golden Boy.

“Golden Boy has an excellent stable including some of the hottest prospects in boxing, and their shows always feature non-stop action from the first bell to the last. As part of our new partnership we will be looking to unearth the next generation of boxing talent in our new development series ‘Golden Boy Fight Night on DAZN’.”

These major events are the latest entry in DAZN’s elite roster of live sporting events and original shows, which includes the UEFA Champions League (UCL), UEFA Women’s Champions League, Bundesliga, LaLiga, Serie A, and J.League, among others.
