Daraz acquires PSL digital streaming rights for two years

Daraz, with over 300 million views during the ICC T20 World Cup streaming, had previously proven to be a game-changer.

Daraz submitted the highest bid, following a public tender process, to live-stream the HBL Pakistan Super League 2022 and 2023 in Pakistan. The organisers witnessed a whopping 175% growth over the last two years.

The Pakistan Cricket Board hosted a bid for the seventh and eighth seasons of the HBL PSL’s digital streaming rights in Lahore, which saw participants from competitive companies such as ASports, Daraz, Geo TV, Trans Group, and Tapmad.

The live-streaming bid came a day after the association of ARY and PTV submitted their TV rights bid, which was worth more than 50% than the previous two years’ broadcast rights value to display the seventh and eighth season of the PSL in Pakistan.

The leading e-commerce platform of Pakistan aims to digitalize, and actively work towards infrastructure growth to aid the nation’s e-commerce industry raise. Daraz also believes in making sports, specifically cricket, a force that brings users from all over the country together by providing free streaming that no other platform provides.
