Crunchyroll, the worldwide anime destination, has unveiled its second advertisement from its India marketing campaign, ‘Ready to Anime?’, starring Gujarat Titans (GT) and Indian captain Shubman Gill, along with Rashmika Mandanna.

Building on the success of the campaign’s first commercial film, which debuted during the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, the new advertising spot conveys a sensation that every anime fan understands: the pain of seeing a cherished anime series end.

In the commercial, Shubman contacts Rashmika late at night in sadness after concluding an anime series, only to be comforted that on Crunchyroll, the conclusion of one narrative heralds the beginning of another. The advertisement displays Crunchyroll’s enormous collection through a light-hearted discussion, featuring global bestsellers such as Black Clover, BLUE LOCK, and ONE PIECE. Rashmika continues to symbolise the devoted anime fan, but Shubman represents the rising community of viewers who are discovering anime’s deep storytelling.

Ekta Gulechha, Director, Marketing for India at Crunchyroll, said, “Following the strong fan engagement with our first ad film, we’re excited to launch the next chapter of the ‘Ready to Anime?’ campaign. The piece taps into a familiar anime fan emotion – the feeling when a beloved series comes to an end – while reminding viewers that with Crunchyroll’s ever-expanding library, there’s always another story waiting to be discovered. As anime continues to grow in India, we’re seeing audiences form deep, personal connections with the characters and stories.”

The campaign, created by Tilt Brand Solutions and produced by StudioQ (both of which are part of Quotient Ventures Pvt Ltd), will be launched nationally across CTV, digital, and social channels.

Crunchyroll now has a repertoire of over 900 anime titles in India, including more than 160 dubbed in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, with new episodes streaming on the same day as Japan. Subscriptions start at ₹99/month.
