Cricket Australia inks naming rights deal with Vodafone

Cricket Australia has announced a three-year, multi-million dollar deal with Vodafone as its men’s Test naming-rights partner, and partner of Women’s Big Bash League and the Australian Women’s Team. Vodafone joins Alinta as a platinum partner.

As part of the deal, Vodafone will partner with the Australian men’s cricket team, the current no.1 test playing team,  for the next three years. Australia is all set to host some of the heavyweights, which is surely going to uplift the financial status of the board amidst the tough crisis.

Vodafone will also feature as a partner of the Australian Women’s team and Women’s Big Bash League (BBL), marking the immense growth and viewership in recent years.

Moreover, it is also the major partner of the Adelaide Strikers in KFC  BBL and principle partner for Strikers in KFC WBBL. Thus, with this strategic partnership, Vodafone will feature across all major tournaments in the Summer.

The latest sponsorship indicates the return of Vodafone, which is part of the TPG Telecom Group, to the international cricket. Vodafone released a new brand identity this month and Cricket is a part of it.
