The governing body for cricket in Australia, Cricket Australia has announced a multi-year sponsorship agreement with Westpac, a major Australian bank.

In this landmark four-year pact, the firm has become CA’s principal partner. Westpac and CA will form one of the most important alliances in Australian sport, working together to support the growth of the country’s national sports at all levels.

This will involve Westpac partnering with Cricket Australia to help offer opportunities for women and girls on and off the pitch, supporting initiatives that benefit local clubs, volunteers and communities, and expanding on programs that ensure cricket is a sport for everyone.

Westpac has signed on as the presenting partner for many significant Cricket Australia projects, including the National Community Awards, National Indigenous Cricket Championships, and National Cricket Inclusion Championship. The alliance will promote more inclusiveness by funding initiatives for women, Indigenous players, and athletes with disabilities, as well as expanding possibilities for female coaches, managers, and administrators throughout the sport.

Furthermore, the deal states that Westpac’s emblem will be prominently displayed on the jerseys of the Australian men’s and women’s teams for all Test, One-Day, and T20 matches played in Australia, as well as Australia A and under 19s.

Along with this, Westpac has also become official partner of the men’s and women’s Big Bash Leagues.

Todd Greenberg, CA CEO, said, “We’re thrilled to welcome Westpac as Cricket Australia’s new Principal Partner. This partnership represents a shared commitment to making a positive impact on the field and in the community. We aim to elevate the experience of fans and participants and together grow the game. Westpac’s support will directly contribute to initiatives that elevate participation and visibility in our sport and help support our vision of making cricket a sport for all. We couldn’t be more excited about the impact we can achieve together.”

Anthony Miller, Westpac CEO said, “We’re excited to step up to the crease and back Australian cricket. Like Westpac, cricket in Australia has a long and proud history stretching back 200 years. As Australia’s oldest bank, we can’t wait to join forces with one of Australia’s oldest sports and help shape the future of this great game. Through this partnership we’ll work with Cricket Australia to grow cricket at all levels, engaging players, fans and club communities around the country.

“As the first sponsor to feature simultaneously on both the men’s and women’s team shirts here at home, we look forward to investing in Australian cricket across all forms of the game, beginning with next month’s games against South Africa, followed by both India teams and this summer’s highly anticipated Ashes series.”
