Cricket Australia has inked a partnership extension of its current deal with Gatorade. The American brand will continue to collaborate with Cricket Australia for the upcoming three years.
Apart from fuelling the men’s and women’s teams of Australia, in this agreement, Gatorade will also be launching a digital content series named ‘Fuelling Greatness’, which will feature Australia’s three of the greatest cricketers. Through various community-driven initiatives, Gatorade will continue to connect with grassroots participants across the country.
While speaking about the partnership, the Australian pacer and Gatorade’s brand ambassador, Pat Cummins said, “We all put in an incredible amount of hard work behind the scenes in order to perform at our peak, and Gatorade is such an integral part pre, during, and post-match.”
“I am so excited to be a part of the Gatorade family and can’t wait to help drive the extensive grassroots cricket initiatives throughout the summer.”
The Gatorade series, ‘Fuelling Greatness’ will be highlighting the perseverance and preparation of the Australian cricketers, who train throughout the summer to prepare themselves for becoming some of Australia’s greatest cricketers. The digital series will feature Pat Cummins, Beth Mooney and Alex Carey.
Apart from the digital series, Gatorade and MyCricket will also partner up to find ‘Gatorade’s Greatest Player’ promoting Australia’s greatest performances at a grassroots level, nominating weekly winners and presenting a major prize at the end of the summer.
Gatorade will provide a hand of support to the community cricket clubs across the country. This initiative will take place through a new online beverage platform, Club Connect. With a variety of products, reasonable prices, cash-back offers and free delivery six days a week, the clubs will be benefitted from the new online beverage platform. The community cricket club will receive five cases of Gatorade, if it registers and places its first order on Club Connect.net.au by December 31.
Cricket Australia’s CEO Nick Hockley said, “We are thrilled to extend our longstanding partnership with Gatorade for a further three years,” Hockley said.
“Gatorade will support not only the performance of our elite cricketers but a range of community cricket initiatives through Club Connect. We are excited to work alongside Gatorade to recognise the outstanding efforts of cricketers across the country, especially given how tough it has been for sporting clubs over the last 18 months.”
Tracy Hardwick, PepsiCo Beverages Senior Marketing Manager, said, “We are excited to be continuing our longstanding partnership with Cricket Australia. Hydration and fuel are key to keeping athletes at their best, both in training and on game day and Gatorade is scientifically formulated with over 50 years of research making it the perfect partner for Cricket,” Hardwick said.
“It’s great to be able to extend our support to cricket clubs around the country as they return to play, after a difficult 18 months.”
