The British coffeehouse chain, Costa Coffee has secured a deal to become the official coffee supplier for the upcoming Paris Olympics 2024 and Paris Paralympics 2024.
The agreement has marked the coffeehouse’s return to the Olympic stage after a successful run as the official worldwide coffee partner at the Tokyo Olympics. During the Paris Games, athletes, spectators, and event staff will enjoy their caffeine fix at strategically placed Costa Coffee “pods,” temporary cafes established throughout the French capital.
The key locations for these pop-up cafes include the Athletes’ Village, Place de la Concorde, Eiffel Tower, Roland-Garros tennis complex, Versailles, and Le Golf National, the site of the Olympic golf competition.
Sam O’Brien, Costa Coffee, Managing Director in Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, said, “We are extremely proud to be the official worldwide coffee partner for the Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games this summer, bringing the Costa Coffee experience to the games for athletes and fans gathering from all over the world. The Olympics and Paralympics represent great opportunities for our brand to connect with spectators, and we look forward to showcasing our beloved range of beverages at such a high-profile event.”
Costa Coffee’s commitment extends beyond the Games themselves. The company, in collaboration with Freemans, plans to relocate these pods to various European and UK events and venues following the conclusion of the Paris Olympics and Paralympics.
