CONMEBOL, the governing body for South American football, has appointed Atos, the global digital transformation and technology services company, as its new official innovation partner for all major club competitions.

The agreement represents a significant digital upgrade for properties, including the CONMEBOL Libertadores, CONMEBOL Sudamericana, CONMEBOL Libertadores Femenina, CONMEBOL Recopa and the esports platform CONMEBOL eLibertadores.

The multi-year partnership positions Atos to design and deliver a unified digital ecosystem for CONMEBOL. This includes a new central website and mobile app that will consolidate competition information, editorial content, live data and fan services. The aim is to create a consistent, modern and more intuitive digital environment that strengthens fan engagement and improves accessibility across all tournaments.

Atos enters the partnership with more than three decades of operational experience in South America and a proven track record in technology delivery for major global sporting events. Its Sports and Major Events division will lead the project, bringing expertise in software development, user experience, data infrastructure and event-grade digital solutions.

Alejandro Domínguez, President of CONMEBOL, said, “At CONMEBOL, we work every day to drive the growth of our competitions and deliver innovative experiences to millions of South American football fans. This alliance with Atos, a global leader in technological solutions, allows us to move forward confidently with that vision. We are convinced that this agreement will further strengthen quality, efficiency, and fan engagement across all our digital platforms.”

Nacho Moros, Head of Atos Major Events, added, “At Atos, we have spent more than thirty years supporting leading sports organisations in their digital transformation, delivering technological solutions that make a difference at the world’s most prestigious events. Becoming CONMEBOL’s Official Innovation Partner for club competitions reinforces our commitment to innovation and to the development of South American football—a region with unique passion and extraordinary potential. Thanks to our global experience and strong track record in large-scale projects, we will work alongside CONMEBOL to deliver advanced digital platforms that connect millions of fans, raise the standard of competitions, and contribute to the modernisation of the sports ecosystem across the region.”

Nelson Campelo, Head of Atos South America, continued,“Nothing is more valuable in sports than the connection with the fans. This partnership with CONMEBOL is another important step in our mission to bring continuous innovation to our partners through disruptive solutions. By transforming the way millions of fans experience football, we reinforce our ability to deliver high-performance technology and an outstanding digital experience.”

The partnership arrives at a moment when football bodies globally are prioritising investment in digital infrastructure to increase reach, strengthen commercial value and build more personalised fan ecosystems. For CONMEBOL, the new platform offers opportunities for improved data capture, enhanced global distribution and new digital revenue streams across content, advertising and partnerships.

Atos continues to expand its portfolio of major sports partnerships. Alongside its collaboration with CONMEBOL, the company serves as UEFA’s official IT partner for National Team Football and has played a longstanding role in supporting the Olympic and Paralympic Movements, including through its services at the Paris 2024 Games.

The first phase of CONMEBOL’s digital transformation is expected to roll out ahead of the qualification rounds for the 2026 editions of the CONMEBOL Libertadores and CONMEBOL Sudamericana.

The agreement strengthens the technological foundations of South America’s leading club competitions and supports CONMEBOL’s wider strategy to enhance global visibility, modernise operations and deepen fan engagement across the region.
