CONMEBOL agrees sponsorship extension with Mastercard

The contract covers sponsorship of the CONMEBOL Libertadores in the financial sector and payment group.

Confederación Sudamericana de Fútbol (CONMEBOL) has inked a new four-year extension agreement with the American multinational financial services corporation, Mastercard.

The contract covers sponsorship of the CONMEBOL Libertadores in the financial sector and payment group, as well as the CONMEBOL Libertadores Femenina for the initial time.

Alejandro Domínguez, President of CONMEBOL, commented, “CONMEBOL values the support of a global company like Mastercard for two of its most important tournaments, the CONMEBOL Libertadores and the CONMEBOL Libertadores Femenina. This partnership is the result of a shared vision by CONMEBOL and this prestigious company on the importance of supporting South American football and giving fans around the world a unique experience.”

Furthermore, the company will collaborate with CONMEBOL throughout the year to develop campaigns and advertisements for its consumers, in addition to activations and opportunities for cardholders and football fans.
