Como 1907 score Uber sponsorship ahead of Serie A return

Uber will become Como 1907's official mobility partner.

The Serie A unit, Como 1907 have inked a new multi-year sponsorship deal with an American multinational transportation company, Uber.

As part of the deal, the brand has become the team’s front-of-shirt sponsor in a three-year deal commencing in the 2024-25 season. This is the first time Uber has sponsored an Italian football team.

As part of the agreement, Uber will become Como 1907’s official mobility partner, and the two companies will join forces to grow the partnership to deliver a variety of benefits to fans.

Notably, the new outfit for the 2024-25 season will be announced in the coming weeks and will be available for purchase online on Como’s online website and in stores shortly.

Mirwan Suwarso, Official Representative of the ownership group, commented, “It’s great that a global brand like Uber has chosen us for its first sports sponsorship in Italy. The plan is for this not to just be a branding exercise but a catalyst for a business partnership that will benefit the local community.”

Lorenzo Pireddu, General Manager of Uber Italy, said, “We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Como 1907, a team with a long football tradition and great growth plans for the future. In addition to our passion for sports, this sponsorship represents a special bond with a city famous throughout the world for its beauty, culture and landscapes. We are proud to support such a vibrant community and be part of its sporting journey.”

Prior to this deal, the unit, which is returning back to the top-tier football league after 21 years, also announced a partnership with adidas. Starting with the 2024-25 season, all Como teams will wear adidas products while representing the club.
