The Serie A unit, Como 1907 have announced a multi-year partnership with the sportswear giant, adidas.
Beginning with the 2024-25 season, all Como teams, be it men’s, women’s and youth’s, will be sporting adidas products while representing their club.
The news follows after a remarkable and historic journey for Como 1907, as the men’s squad, who had played in Italy’s fourth tier, Serie D in 2019, was promoted to Serie A after 21 years. Located on the shores of Lake Como, the club is a perfect example of Como’s energy, charm, and community.
Como’s own retail activities, both in-store and online, locally and internationally, will be expanded as a key component of this new arrangement. This will include the creation of a unique lifestyle line, the specifics of which will be revealed soon.
Mirwan Suwarso, Official Representative for the ownership group, said, “This is the start of what we hope to be a long and rewarding journey with Adidas. We are a humble club but with big ambition both on and off the pitch. Our home is Como, one of the most beautiful settings for a football club in the world with a rich community to explore. This partnership is a huge part of our plan to combine football and a taste of the Como lifestyle.”
Alessandra Furia, Senior Director Brand of adidas, said, “Como 1907 is a football club with a long tradition, which has embarked on an ambitious path, capable of bringing the club back into the Serie A. In this historic moment, so important for the city of Como and its football club, we are happy to start together a multi-year partnership, which will represent a new chapter in the history of both the brand and the club, a virtuous expression of a unique and worldwide appreciated territory such as the Lake of Como.
“adidas has always linked its history to football and is proud to support Como in its growth and commitment on the field and in the community”.
Before the 2024–25 season, the new uniform will be unveiled in the upcoming weeks.
The sports gear firm also recently announced a collaboration with Al Nassr FC and Argentine Football Association (AFA). The German behemoth is also the official sporting goods partner for prominent clubs such as Eintracht Frankfurt, AFC Ajax and Aston Villa FC. Furthermore, the Three Stripes also established a historic agreement with the Esports World Cup Foundation, demonstrating its dedication to innovation throughout the athletic world.
