CoinSwitch Kuber teams up with Star as sponsor for phase 2 of IPL 2021: Sources

CoinSwitch Kuber aims to get widespread visibility for their brand and aims to attract millions of young and tech-savvy cricket fans towards using their platform.

CoinSwitch Kuber has partnered up with Star as a sponsor for phase 2 of IPL 2021, as per Sportsmint sources.

It will see the Indian cryptocurrency investment platform team up with Star to get premium Ad spots in the live broadcast during the second half of IPL.

By getting into this partnership, CoinSwitch Kuber aims to get widespread visibility for their brand and aims to attract millions of young and tech-savvy cricket fans towards using their platform.

Through this partnership, CoinSwitch Kuber also seeks to create awareness among millions of cricket fans across the country about cryptocurrencies as an asset class, which they should consider while making investments.

This agreement comes in continuation with CoinSwitch Kuber teaming up with Disney+Hotstar as the associate sponsor for the broadcast of the Indian Premier League in phase 1 of the IPL 2021.

The crypto platform had launched a new campaign called, ‘Trade Kar, Befikar’, which featured actor Kunaal Roy Kapur. The campaign turned out to be a huge success for them as the platform saw their registrations go up by 4X after its IPL ads.

Commenting on this huge success, Ashish Singhal, CEO and Co-Founder at CoinSwitch in an interview said, “The response to our ads has been great. It was our effort to create greater visibility and awareness for crypto as an asset class. This, along with the simplicity that our platform offers has attracted a lot of users. CoinSwitch Kuber’s registrations have gone up by 4x.”

With the addition of Star India to its existing portfolio of the IPL, the crypto platform with a current userbase of four million in India will try and build upon what it had achieved through its campaign with Disney+Hotstar as it targets to cross 10 million users by the end of 2021.

In the past several months, we have witnessed crypto platforms jumping on the bandwagon of partnering up with the various cricket leagues. One of the homegrown exchanges, CoinDCX had also partnered with the T20I bilateral series between India and Sri Lanka as the title sponsor.

Various sources have also suggested that Crypto brand FTX.US reportedly is inching closer to be signed as the official partner and crypto partner of the upcoming ICC events.
