CoinDCX becomes Official Title Sponsor of India’s Tour of Sri Lanka

This however is the first time that a cryptocurrency brand is sponsoring and becoming the title sponsor of a series in international cricket.

Following the reports a few days ago about CoinDCX becoming the official title sponsor, the news was confirmed on Friday and CoinDCX is now officially the sponsor of India’s Tour of Sri Lanka T20i series.

This however is the first time that a cryptocurrency brand is sponsoring and becoming the title sponsor of a series in international cricket. The confirmation of the sponsorship indicates that crypto-asset organisations are entering the sports circuit at a gradual pace, and this benefits their markets dramatically. This partnership will be used to target young cricket fans and educate people and impart knowledge about handling and investing the crypto assets.

With the title sponsorship taking the cricket industry by storm, this is a huge opportunity for CoinDCX to expand its outreach and its global market even further beyond, the series which will start from 21st of July 2021 will be captained by Shikhar Dhawan and will showcase many young talents of the Indian side.

The partnership between Sri Lanka Cricket and Kent RO was made possible through Alliance Advertising and will see Kent RO become the back of the shirt sponsor for Sri Lanka’s kit for the duration of the series, the three-match ODI and three-match T20i series is set to be held in Sri Lanka.

Mr Sumit Gupta, CEO & Co-founder of CoinDCX said, “Cricket in India is not just a sport; it’s a religion. So naturally, we are very excited to become the Title Sponsor of the T20 Cup. Cricket – particularly the T20 format- offers excellent synergy for our brand as we aim to reach out to more users through this association. Being the country’s largest and safest cryptocurrency exchange, we aim at accomplishing new heights just as the Indian Cricket Team.”

Mr. Ashley De Silva, The Chief Executive Officer of Sri Lanka Cricket said, “It’s a buoyant time for Sri Lanka cricket as we welcomed the Indian team for an exciting series, which is going to be competitive as well. Sri Lanka Cricket will also use the T20i series as a platform to prepare for the upcoming T20i world cup. I take this opportunity to thank CoinDCX for its association with this important series.’’
