Christian Eriksen set to join Manchester United

This summer, Manchester United wants to make some changes to their midfield, especially in light of the free-agent departures.

According to a declaration, Christian Eriksen has verbally accepted to sign a transfer agreement to join Manchester United this summer.

The Danish football player, Christian Dannemann Eriksen represents the national team of Denmark as an attacking midfielder.

At the age of 18, Eriksen began his professional club career in 2010 with Ajax, wherein he won three Eredivisie championships and the KNVB Cup. Eriksen made an $11 million transfer to Tottenham Hotspur in 2013, where he won the club’s Player of the Year award twice, he was selected for the PFA Team of the Year for the 2017–18 season and later advanced to the 2019 UEFA Champions League Final.

Eriksen moved to Inter Milan in 2020 for €19.7 million (£16.9 million), and before his deal was mutually terminated in 2021, he claimed the Serie A title. Eriksen joined Brentford in 2022, making his way back to the Premier League.

Since his agreement with Brentford expired, the professional player from Denmark has remained a free agent. And the destination of Old Trafford is now set for the player.

This summer, Manchester United wants to make some changes to their midfield, especially in light of the free-agent departures of Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba.

Eriksen has stated that he desires to play for United, despite the fact that Brentford would also like to keep him. In recent weeks, the midfielder has been associated with Leicester, Everton, and Tottenham.

The Red Devils have given a three-year deal to the Denmark player, reportedly including a weekly pay offer of £150,000. He will have a checkup once the formal paperwork, which United is currently negotiating, is approved.
