The Tennis Premier League is heading into its most commercially stacked season yet, and Chennai Smashers just made one of the strongest early moves. The franchise has secured three new co-sponsors for the upcoming campaign, bringing Vimal Elaichi, Ganga Group of Institutions, and Hi Tech Pipes into its commercial lineup.
Each partner strengthens a different pillar of the franchise’s fan-facing strategy. Vimal Elaichi gives the Smashers firepower in a high visibility FMCG category that has been investing heavily in youth-centric sport.
Ganga Group of Institutions plugs the team directly into student communities across Tamil Nadu, where tennis fandom has been steadily climbing. This is a partner built for campus-level engagement, talent hunts, and outreach programs that turn college clusters into active supporter bases.
Hi Tech Pipes adds industrial heft and a brand already familiar with Indian sport, thanks to its presence in cricket and kabaddi. Their focus this season is likely to sit in digital integrations and grassroots pathways that tie the franchise to the state’s growing infrastructure and sports development story.
The Smashers are entering this season with momentum on court as well. Key players Rithvik Choudary Bollipalli, Irina Bara, and Dalibor Svrčina return after strong individual campaigns, giving the team stability and a competitive spine heading into opening night.
Broadcast visibility is getting a lift, too. Sony Sports Network has picked up exclusive rights for TPL Season 7, with matches airing live on Sony Sports Ten 5 and Sony Sports Ten 5 HD. The league runs from December 9 to 14 at the Gujarat University Tennis Stadium in Ahmedabad, bringing international names and India’s top talent into one of the tightest windows on the tennis calendar.
The commercial tempo across the league is rising, but Chennai Smashers have moved early and decisively. With three new co-sponsors locked in and their core roster intact, they’ve set a clear benchmark for how franchises intend to scale in what is shaping up to be TPL’s breakthrough season.
