Chelsea Football Club have strengthened their commercial portfolio by naming Circle Internet Group as their new principal partner and front-of-shirt partner, bringing one of the world’s leading stablecoin companies into one of football’s most visible sponsorship positions.

The partnership, which begins with the 2026-27 season, will see Circle’s USDC branding feature on the front of shirts worn by Chelsea’s men’s, women’s and academy teams. The men’s first team will debut the “USDC by Circle” branding at Stamford Bridge in its opening Premier League home fixture of the campaign against Brighton & Hove Albion.

For Circle, the agreement provides a global sports platform for USDC, its dollar-denominated stablecoin, as the company seeks to broaden awareness of digital financial infrastructure beyond traditional cryptocurrency audiences. The partnership aligns Circle’s focus on borderless digital payments with Chelsea’s international reach and global fanbase.

Jeremy Allaire, Co-Founder and CEO, Circle, “We built USDC on the belief that money should work seamlessly for everyone everywhere, the way the internet does. Partnering with Chelsea connects us with a global sports community built on that exact same borderless vision.”

Jason Gannon, President, Chelsea FC, added, “This partnership with Circle positions Chelsea at the forefront of football’s digital evolution. We are two organisations fixated by the future and are relentlessly innovating to be in the best position possible for the long-term. We look forward to beginning our journey with Circle – to introduce Circle to the Chelsea family and continue enhancing how we operate”

The Circle agreement represents another step in Chelsea’s expanding commercial strategy. The club has recently added partnerships with Velocity Black, Legora, FTP and Roc Nation Sports International, further diversifying its network of commercial relationships across technology, lifestyle and entertainment.

The development comes as Chelsea enter the 2026-27 campaign under new manager Xabi Alonso. Following an active summer in the transfer market, the club is combining a reshaped sporting project with an increasingly diversified commercial operation.

Circle’s arrival therefore represents more than a shirt-branding opportunity. It gives Chelsea a partner aligned with technology and financial innovation, while providing Circle with a high-profile global platform to build mainstream recognition for USDC.
