Cazoo lands sponsorship deal with Bologna FC

The Serie A team has agreed to a multi-year deal with Cazoo.

Bologna FC, the Italian top-flight team has confirmed a new major jersey sponsorship deal with the online auto shop Cazoo, which will begin in the 2022/23 season.

The Serie A team has agreed to a multi-year agreement in which Cazoo’s logo will appear on the front of both men’s and women’s jerseys. The agreement is the UK-based brand’s first in Italy, and it comes ahead of the brand’s market launch this summer.

Cazoo will gain brand awareness at Bologna’s Stadio Renato Dall’Ara, throughout the team’s digital channels, and on media broadcast backdrops in addition to significant jersey inventory.

The brand’s football sponsorship portfolio already includes a contract with the Premier League club Aston Villa worth allegedly £6 million (US$7.5 million) each year.

Cazoo has lately enhanced its football sponsorships as the brand spreads throughout Europe, including a deal allegedly worth €4 million (US$4.3 million) per year with the LaLiga team Valencia. Real Sociedad is another Spanish team, that the brand has teamed up with. There are agreements in the Bundesliga with SC Freiburg and in France with Olympique de Marseille and Lille.
