The WNBA team, Atlanta Dream, have announced a major multi-year partnership with the leading financial services platform, Cash App, marking a significant investment in the advancement of women’s professional sports.
Beginning with the 2025 season, Cash App has become an official financial services partner of the team, with its logo prominently featured on all Atlanta Dream jerseys.
This comprehensive agreement sees the Cash App logo on the chest patch and the marquee abdomen position of all three versions of the Dream’s jerseys.
Beyond the significant brand exposure, this collaboration is deeply rooted in a shared commitment to drive positive social impact. Key objectives include elevating the profile of women’s sports, championing financial inclusion, fostering broader equity, empowering girls and women, and promoting the growth of basketball from grassroots to professional levels.
A cornerstone of the partnership will be extensive community-focused initiatives co-developed by the Atlanta Dream and Cash App. These year-round programs will feature camps and clinics for young girls, uniquely integrating S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education with leadership development and basketball skills training.
Furthering their commitment to community impact, the collaboration will provide crucial support to the “Dream Collective,” an initiative designed to empower and provide resources to small businesses within under-represented communities. This support aims to dismantle marketing barriers and foster significant economic opportunity.
Fan engagement is another central pillar of this agreement. Attendees at the Gateway Centre Arena can anticipate an enriched game-day experience, with benefits for Cash App customers including discount programs on merchandise and in-arena food and beverages. The collaboration will also feature Cash App-branded giveaways, dedicated in-game activations, curated digital content, and prominent promotional signage throughout the arena.
Speaking on the occasion, Dream President and Chief Operating Officer Morgan Shaw Parker said, “We are so excited to welcome Cash App as an Official Financial Services Partner of the Atlanta Dream. Cash App shares our innovative mindset to empower girls and women through sport and create economic opportunities in our community. The energy and creativity they have brought to this collaboration have been tremendous, and we look forward to unveiling additional programming prior to the season.”
Catherine Ferdon, Chief Marketing Officer at Cash App, added, “It’s a privilege to partner with the Atlanta Dream on their efforts to push the boundaries between sports and culture through bold, community-focused endeavours. We look forward to working alongside the Dream to create world-class experiences for fans and uplift the Atlanta community while championing female athletes.”
The comprehensive deal was facilitated by Excel Sports Management’s Properties division. This partnership aligns with Cash App’s broader strategy of engaging with influential sports and entertainment properties to connect with diverse audiences and promote its accessible and user-friendly financial tools.
This alliance between the Atlanta Dream and Cash App signifies not only a major step forward for the continued growth and commercial appeal of women’s sports but also a powerful example of how professional athletics can be leveraged to drive meaningful social and economic change.
