CAF has moved quickly to strengthen its commercial and operational base ahead of a milestone year for African football, confirming two major Morocco-focused partnerships that underpin both the fan experience and the delivery of its flagship tournaments.

Royal Air Maroc, the Moroccan national carrier, has been unveiled as an official global partner across a wide slate of the federation’s competitions, including the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025 and the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2024.

The agreement positions the airline at the centre of CAF’s event ecosystem, giving it extensive branding rights, category exclusivity in aviation, and responsibility for key travel logistics for teams, officials, and delegations.

CAF President Dr Patrice Motsepe said, “We are excited about the partnership between CAF and Royal Air Maroc, a world-class airline that will provide comfort and fly National Teams participating in the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025 and the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2024. We are confident that the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025 will be the most successful AFCON in the history of this competition, and we are delighted to see more Moroccan and other African and international companies sponsor and partner with CAF and African football.”

The partnership extends beyond simple visibility. Royal Air Maroc will launch joint campaigns with CAF to promote tournament travel, utilize its global network to boost inbound fan movement, and support Morocco’s broader ambition to establish itself as Africa’s premier destination for major football events. With AFCON returning to Morocco for the first time since 1988 and WAFCON set to build on the momentum of the women’s game across the continent, the airline’s role becomes strategically valuable.

In parallel, CAF has concluded an agreement with ONCF, Morocco’s national railway operator, to ensure smooth mobility for fans during AFCON 2025. The deal introduces dedicated tournament-branded trains, enhanced service frequency, discounted fares for match-going supporters, and shuttle connections to stadium zones. It is a crucial operational layer designed to reduce congestion, improve inter-city travel, and provide fans with a coherent and affordable transport network across host cities.

Together, these partnerships underscore Morocco’s readiness to host back-to-back continental showpieces and reinforce CAF’s shift toward an integrated, fan-first event model. Royal Air Maroc boosts the international reach of the tournaments, while ONCF strengthens the on-ground experience for supporters moving between host cities.

Morocco’s major-event calendar continues to expand, with the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025 scheduled from July 5 to 26, followed by the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025 from December 21 to January 18, 2026. The country will then join Spain and Portugal as a co-host for the FIFA World Cup 2030, further cementing its position in global football.
