Indra Group, the leading Spanish multinational devoted to technology and defence, has announced a new technological collaboration agreement with the BWT Alpine Formula One Team, marking a strategic move that deepens the role of advanced artificial intelligence in elite motorsport.

The agreement will see Indra deliver high-performance technological support to Alpine through its IndraMind platform, an artificial intelligence solution designed to process, analyse, and correlate vast volumes of data in real-time. The collaboration is designed to enhance operational efficiency and competitive performance across both race weekend environments and factory-based engineering operations, as Formula One approaches a new technical and regulatory cycle from 2026.

As part of the partnership, IndraMind will be integrated across multiple areas of Alpine’s performance ecosystem. The platform will support race strategy, predictive modelling, performance analysis and operational decision-making, where speed, accuracy and reliability are critical. Its modular architecture enables deployment across cloud and edge environments, making it well-suited to the intense, data-driven conditions that define modern F1.

Ángel Escribano, the Executive Chairman of Indra Group, said, “Formula One constitutes the ultimate expression of competitiveness, innovation, and technological precision. The agreement with BWT Alpine Formula One Team enables us to partner with an elite sporting project and demonstrate the value of our capabilities in real high-demand environments”.

Indra Group CEO José Vicente de los Mozos added, “At Indra Group, we seek to actively contribute to the development of the technologies that are shaping the future, furthering the company’s global reach and bolstering our innovative vocation. This collaboration will show us how merging the technological, industrial, and sports sectors can multiply the impact of initiatives such as the Grands Prix that are strategic for our country and project Brand Spain on the international stage”.

Flavio Briatore, Executive Advisor, BWT Alpine Formula One Team, continued, “We are delighted to welcome Indra Group as an official partner of BWT Alpine Formula One Team. Indra Group’s commitment to technological excellence, innovation, and advanced intelligence aligns perfectly with our ambitions as a race team. Our partnership will see the implementation of IndraMind and the integration of their intelligence platform into our engineering ecosystems. It will contribute to better optimising our racing operations and will enable us to develop innovative technological advances at a time when Formula One is entering a new technological era.”

Beyond performance applications, Indra views the collaboration as a showcase for its sovereign artificial intelligence capabilities in one of the most demanding technological environments in global sport. Working with a Formula One team enables the company to validate and refine its solutions under extreme conditions, where milliseconds can determine outcomes.

The agreement also delivers global brand exposure for Indra, with its presence set to feature on the Alpine Formula One car and across team assets throughout the championship calendar.

The collaboration reflects a broader shift within Formula One, where partnerships are increasingly evolving from traditional sponsorship arrangements into long-term technology alliances that deliver measurable operational and competitive value.
